Summer Date Ideas

Helllooooo ladies!

Since it is finally that time of year I'd thought I'd make a list of date ideas to do in the summer time. The weather is nice, the sun is shining, romance is blossoming, skin gets darker, hair gets lighter, nights are longer and all you want to do is lay on the beach and get that summer glow going. Now let's say you're dating someone, in a committed relationship or just going on the first date, these are great options for any type of relationship or potential relationship!

1. Bowling: Now I know what you're thinking, "Bowling? Ew, I haven't done that since I was a kid! Those shoes? Ugh NO WAY!" But it's a great way to get to know someone and have fun and there's not a ton of pressure to just sit and talk and tell someone your life story on the first date. If you're in a relationship then it's a great way to show off your competitive side and rub it in your partner's face when you beat them. ;)

2. Go-Kart Racing: This one is defs one of my favorite date ideas or even just a fun idea to do with friends in general. It's a great way to prove to the boys that, yes I can drive, a go-kart that is. You'll want to find a place that has a pretty decent sized track, which I'm sure there would be some in your area if you research it well enough. If you can I suggest bringing your own helmet cause the helmets there are kinda gross....eekk. You usually get to do a few laps and you're not just racing your significant other or your friends but multiple different people. It's super fun when you lap someone and start drifting around corners, but I'd leave that to the experts. ;)

3. Drive-in Movie: This one is a given to do in the summer time. Perfect weather to watch a movie outside. If your beau has a truck then guuurrllll are you in for a treat. Just slyly suggest to put a mattress, blankets and pillows in the back and voila, you have you're own comfy movie viewing area. Grab some snacks like popcorn, licorice and some pop and you'll have a great night guaranteed!

4. Theme/ Amusement Park: Now I don't know if everywhere has one of these but in Vancouver we have Playland which is a pretty awesome place to even just go with your friends. There's different rides and attractions to see and do. I like the Swings and Crazy Beach Party, and if you want something a little more romantic then obviously the Ferris Wheel is where it's at, and if you get to catch the sunset on the top of one then its the perfect date picture. Obviously one thing you HAVE to do when you're at an Amusement Park is play some of the games, yeah they're rigged to get money but if you or your partner is talented then you can get a nice souvenir stuffy!

5.Bike Ride: Vancouver has tons of places to bike ride. The Sea Wall is one of the most popular places to bike ride or even rollerblade. There's a few different places where you can even rent bikes and take them for an hour or even the day and just explore Vancouver. I'm sure every major city has something along those lines, or if you own your own bike then you could even just bring that. Just toss it in the truck bed and you're good to go, find a nice dyke or place to ride and you're golden!

6. Aquarium/ Zoo: This one is a toss up for me because I like seeing the animals and learning about them, but I'm not so thrilled on seeing them in captivity. I'd prefer to see them in their natural habit, but some of the animals that the Greater Vancouver Zoo and the Vancouver Aquarium are rescues from mothers that abandoned their young or were killed and injured animals that can't be returned to the wild because it's too dangerous for them. But this is a nice date to go on regardless of how you feel about the animals and you can even get some food there and some souvenirs!

7. Fireworks shows:  Whether it be for The Celebration of Lights, Canada Day or the 4th of July, this is a great option for a date. There's nothing more romantic than sitting under the stars with your significant other, huddled under a blanket watching the fireworks display with a cold one of course!

8. BBQ: Now this one would be a fun sorta group date idea. Get a few friends, some drinks and some good snacks and your set to have a great time with great people. As it gets later in the evening start a fire and get out the marshmallows and make some s'mores! Or if you're not feeling the group setting grab your significant other and just have a small fire with the two of you!

9. Outdoor Concert/ Festival: Whether it's a new band or a band you've wanted to see for a long time an outdoor concert in the summer is just a great idea to cross off your bucketlist. In Vancouver we have a few outdoor concerts/ festivals all over the North shore and surrounding areas. They range from jazz to folk depending on which one you go to. So grab your partner and head out there and hit up an outdoor concert!

10. Hiking: If you don't mind getting down and dirty or at least a little bit sweaty then heading on a hike with your significant other is a must in the summer time. Why not take advantage of the nice weather and get in a workout at the same time? Don't forget to pack some snacks/ lunch and have a little picnic when you reach the top! Also bring a camera because you can't miss taking a picture of the view you'll have!

11.  Golfing: Grab your beau, those 9 irons, and hit the green at your local driving range. If you're like me and have no idea how to golf unless it's mini golf, then your partner can give you a hand with your follow through and give you some pointers. Great way to get super close to each other and make them feel like a pro. ;)

12. Botanical Gardens: Stop and smell the roses. Literally! Hit up a Botanical Garden and check out the beautiful designs and set ups of the gardens. Smell all the flowers, hold hands and take pictures. Take advantage of being in the beautiful setting and make it as romantic as possible!

13. Road trip: This one speaks for itself. It's summer which means you gotta take advantage of the gorgeous warm weather and take some time off. Grab your beau, some sleeping bags, a tent, snacks, some drinks, fill up the car and take off! If you can only get a day off then take a day trip somewhere and enjoy the sights and scenery!

14. Water Balloon Fight: Take advantage of those hot summer days and grab some friends and hit up the dollar store to grab some water balloons. Fill those bad boys up and head out to a field/ park and get to throwing. If you want to make it a bit more interesting make teams. You could also fill them up with paint and have a paint fight! Just make sure you get biodegradable balloons and safe paint where it won't damage grass or harm animals if they ingest it. Or pick up the torn pieces of the balloons afterwards. Gotta think about our furry friends!

15. Sunset/ Sunrise: With the joys of summer come longer days. So grab a blanket, some snacks, a camera and your partner and head up to a beach to watch the sunset/ sunrise. I have to say living in Vancouver we have some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. And when your downtown at one of the many beaches when you see that sun set and the light reflects off the water it's absolutely breathtaking. I will never grow tired of it. If you want to catch the sunrise head out just before dawn and make camp on the beach and wait for the sun to come up. It's seriously so beautiful and romantic!

Well there you have it! My top 15 Summer Date Ideas! Now obviously there's TONS more stuff to do come summer but these are some of my favs. Now get there and try some of these, and remember you don't ALWAYS need to just have your significant other with you, grab some friends and hit some of these places too! And don't forget to grab some ice cream to enjoy during them either! Bubble gum and cotton candy are my favs, and obvs anything chocolate or with alcohol! Haha

Take care loves!

Fall Date Night Ideas

Hello again peeps!

Wellllll let's get right into this. Fall Date Night ideas! Now it's that time of year again, the leaves changing colour the leaves are falling, the air is getting crisper, the days getting shorter, its getting colder and there's pumpkin spice EVERYTHING. Now if you're one of those girls that is in a relationship and is struggling on ideas for date night, then you've come to the right place! I've come up with a few ideas. I'm sure most of these ideas you can find in your area or find similar things to do!

1. Pumpkin Patch date: This is probably the number 1 idea that everyone thinks of when October comes. It's such a cute date idea to walk around a pumpkin patch and pick your pumpkins and then take pictures with your pumpkins.

2. Apple Picking: I have never done this before so I am not sure what it entails but I think it could be a cute date idea, grab your love and go pick your own apples. Haha

3. Fright Night: This is a big event from Playland that tons of people go to in the month of October. Lots of Haunted Houses that are sure to make you jump along with rides and games in case the Haunted Houses aren't your thing.

4. Walk through the forest: Now with the leaves changing a walk through the woods is defs a great idea to take advantage of the nicer weather and take some nice photos with the beautiful fall leaves as a nice backdrop.

5. Haunted House: There are some at Playland or there are other smaller Haunted Houses you can check out that will give you just as much a scare as any other Haunted House.

6. Carve your pumpkins: Those pumpkins you picked up at the Pumpkin Patch would come in handy right about now! Pick your favorite design or just make one from scratch and go to town on that bad boy!

7. Corn Maze: Who doesn't like getting lost in a corn maze with your partner trying to rely on each other to find your way out? Haha, now this doesn't HAVE to be a date you go on with your partner, you could make this a group date and split up into teams and whoever loses has to buy the first round of drinks or something!

8. Halloween themed movie marathon: Pick your favorite horror movie and go to town. Grab some movie snacks, (like popcorn, licorice, m&ms, chips, any food really) a blanket, some fluffy pillows and cuddle up on the couch or bed, turn off the lights and turn on the Netflix or pop in the DVD/ Bluray and get scared!

9. Stargazing: Grab some blankets, pillows, snacking food, your partner and your car and head out of the view of the lights and get ready to be amazed!

10. Drive in Movie: Again grab some blankets, pillows, snacking food, your partner and your car and head out to the drive in and cuddle under the stars and watch the movies!

Now most of these are givens and probably on everybody's "to do" lists. I'm sure you can find some of these things to do in your area and if not you can improvise! You don't need to do these dates with your partner either, you can grab your besties and hit them up as well. Who says you need to have a bf/ gf to go on dates? Besties are good dates too!

Anyways, there's my top Fall Date Night Ideas!

Talk to ya'll in my next post!

Top 10 beauty products I love

Hey ladiiieesss,
Been a while since I've made and entry but I've been so busy working and stuff. I'll try and make a couple more entries when I can. So I decided to write a post on the top 10 beauty products that I love and think all you girls should have in either your makeup kit or just in general!
I'll start this list off with my favorite mascara.

10. Mascara- Now, every girl needs a good mascara in their makeup kit. I've tried a few different types and when I mean a few I mean like 10 different mascaras from 10 different brands if there is that many haha. I usually use drug store type mascaras so I'll start with those. Here's my top 5 mascara brands. #1 is "Benefit Cosmetics" "They're Real" in black. #2 is "Maybeline New York" "One by One Volum' Express" in blackest black. #3 is "Rimmel London" "Scandaleyes" in black. #4 is "Maybeline New York" "Great Lash" in blackest black and very black." #5 is "Maybeline New York" "Illegal Length" in blackest black.

9. Under eye concealer- If you're like me and have dark under eye circles then under eye concealer is a must have in your kit. My go to eye concealer is Garnier Skin Renew Anti-dark circle roller in Light. Now this concealer includes caffeine as well as lemon and mineral pigments. This is a great concealer and is my go to concealer. When you apply under eye concealer you should apply it in a triangle shape under your eyes, it draws light to that area and makes your dark circles appear less noticeable. Now under eye concealer isn't the only way to diminish the appearance of under eye circles. Getting enough sleep, drinking lots of water and taking care of your skin every night will help in the diminishing of under eye circles.

Benefit gift from Sephora

Hello there lovelies!
Just a quick entry here about the free Sephora gift they give you for being a member.
I went into Sephora a few months ago and got my free birthday gift. It was the Benefit Cosmetics pack. It came with the They're Real! mascara and the Watt's Up? highlight. They're both just sample sizes but will last me a while. The mascara is absolutely amazing. It gives your eyelashes length and really helps to open up those eyes. The highlight is subtle enough that you can see it but its not like a crazy highlight or anything.
It may show up more on lighter skin tones however.

I know that the full size of each of these is pretty expensive, but I'm sure you could find the sample size somewhere for cheaper. If any of you ladies happen to try these, let me know what you think of them.
Happy shopping ladies! xoxo

Where I've been

Heeyyyy ladiess!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, holiday break and New Year! Sorry I haven't made a post in a loooooong time, work has been pretty hectic and then with Christmas I just haven't had time to write a post or do makeup looks. I am so grateful for my new job but I have just been so busy juggling two jobs I haven't really had time to do anything. I'm going to try and work on my blog again in the coming month or so because I want to finish my makeup course, get my certificate and start setting up my portfolio and business. If you ladies would like me to make a video on something I will TRY to make one. I've been putting it off for a while now and I figure I might as well start making them this year.

I purchased a ton of makeup and makeup brushes for my kit/ collection so if you would like to see some makeup looks with the products I purchased then let me know and I'll do my best to do that for you ladies. I also signed up for ipsy, if you don't know what that is it's a website (obvs) where you register and then you get samples in the mail of hair and beauty products. It only costs $14 (for us who live in Canada and $10 for those who live in the US). I got my first glam bag in the mail and am pretty pleased with the products I received. They're a little bigger than sample size, I'll post an entry about the products I got and what they are. Anyways, I think that's all I've got to say right now. I am also down to just one job now so I'll have more time to write entries and do makeup looks and get those posted for you guys. Again I'm sorry for not writing in my blog a lot lately, I've just been super busy and I'll try harder to write more posts and do more makeup looks for you guys.
Happy shopping! XOXO
